IMPACT OF DYNAMITE
The immediate impact of dynamite was incredible. Jobs were getting done faster now that there was an easier way to blow up land without having to dig manually. For example, when there was no dynamite, to get past a large mountain, you would have to dig through the rock. Of course this was very time consuming, whereas, when dynamite was invented, you could dig a hole, set the stick of dynamite inside and light it. The stick would explode the part of rock you wanted gone. With this method, you could go through the mountain or you could go up the mountain a bit, then you could go around and down. This proccess made shipping cargo to different cities faster. Also, people who were traveling by train, could get to their destination quicker.
